Q: What should we wear to our photo session?

A: Personally I am not a fan of everyone matching. I prefer coordinated to everyone wearing the same thing. Wearing different tones of similar colours works well, for example brown, tan & white etc. Some pattern and texture is ok, but make sure it isn’t too busy. most importantly just wear something you feel great in. its a cliche but confidence is the best accessory. Also if the session is taking place in studio backdrops will be white, so avoid wearing all white so as not to fade into the background.

Q: How long will it take until we get our pictures?

A: a photo session takes time to edit, and I am a perfectionist! most sessions will have a gallery posted 2 – 3 weeks after the day it is shot. Weddings of course taken longer given the volume of images I am sniping away on the big day. Brides should plan for 6 – 8 weeks before the ‘viewing party’ for their photos.

Q: Whats a ‘viewing party’?

A: I love people, I love people in love, and I’m nosy. I like seeing my brides and grooms see their photos for the first time. I also like watching people re-live one the biggest days of their lives. oh and I REALLY like wine and cheese. To that end, I host viewing parties for all my happy couples to view the images from their big day when they are all ready. So come on over, bring your moms dads, brothers and sisters, have a glass of vino and watch your wedding day all over again on a 50 inch plasma with some pinto noir in hand. Way better than on your laptop in your pj’s right?
